Since its inception in 1988, Forest Hills' Mother's Day Out & Weekday Preschool program has focused on helping young children begin their path of success by providing a stimulating learning environment at every stage of development. Our loving and skilled teachers provide hands-on learning experiences through art, reading, music, science, home living, manipulatives and physical education.
We believe each child is a special gift from God, and we are excited that He has given us the opportunity to make a difference in young lives!
Mother's Day Out (MDO) & Weekday Preschool provides a loving Christian environment where children can grow intellectually, physically, spiritually and socially. It is our joy to help your child grow and mature in Christ and develop the skills he or she will need for elementary school.
Our children participate in developmentally appropriate learning activities in the areas of language development and early literacy, science and nature, math and numbers, art, music, physical education and the Bible.
WEE Learn (LifeWay's early-learning curriculum for Christian preschools), Growing Up Wild (a nature-based early childhood program) and the Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards are the resources we use to design, select and implement high-quality classroom experiences for all ages.
Our teachers also utilize their creativity, talents and experiences to provide enriching and fun learning environments. Classroom schedules and lesson plans are posted outside the classroom daily.
- Our MDO program is for children 12 months through two–three years old.
- We also have a preschool program is designed for children three years old through young four.
- Our Pre-K program is for children four–five years old who will be attending Kindergarten the following school year.
The program utilizes eight spacious classrooms, each with a restroom and sink, two outside playgrounds with rubber mulch, a music classroom, a full-size gym with equipment and toys, a big-wheel track, a rainy-day playroom, a lunch room, a teacher resource room, a kitchen, a chapel and a library with more than 1,500 books! We emphasize maintaining a clean, safe environment to foster healthy growth and development.
