We have several local ministries operating directly through the ministry of Forest Hills, along with a number of strategic ministry partners that have a significant impact on our community by offering Gospel-centered services across a spectrum of human needs.

FHBC Ministries

We currently lead the following ministries to our immediate community utilizing the gifts and talents of our church family.

Disaster Relief
Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief is a cooperative volunteer ministry of the Tennessee Baptist Convention and its affiliated churches. Trained volunteers from Forest Hills Baptist respond to disasters of any size, anywhere, such as hurricane-ravaged communities in Louisiana and Mississippi.

DivorceCare & DC4K
DivorceCare is a recovery and support group for people experiencing the pain of separation or divorce. DivorceCare for Kids is a support group for children (grades 1–5) whose parents are in the DivorceCare group.

GriefShare is a weekly seminar/support group for people grieving the death of someone close.

Loaves & Fishes Meal Ministry
The Loaves & Fishes Meal Ministry provides meals and fellowship for people whose needs may include serious or long-term health issues, job loss/financial difficulty, death of family member, in-home care of disabled or elderly patients, premature or traumatic births or any situation that would allow us to minister to unchurched people.

Room In The Inn
Our Room In The Inn program welcomes twelve to fifteen homeless people as guests on cold winter nights during the months of November through March and is staffed and supported by FHBC groups and classes.

Whitsitt Elementary Tutoring
We partner with Whitsitt Elementary by tutoring struggling students in the areas of reading and math. We also support several parent/student enrichment nights at the school.

Wings Ministry to Refugees & Internationals
The Wings Ministry builds relationships with children and families who are making the United States their new home.

ENGAGE Local Ministry Partners

Due to the significant role each of the following organizations hold in transforming Nashville with the Gospel, FHBC has entered strategic partnership with these Christ-centered organizations. We support them both monetarily and through the work of our members.

Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Vanderbilt Place
One of the earliest campus ministries at Vanderbilt, the BCM at Vanderbilt place serves as an outreach to college students at Vanderbilt University. BCM stands for Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and is a group of students focused on serving, loving and discipling their fellow students in the heart of the campus.

Christian Women’s Job Corps
CWJC equips women for life and employment with basic life skills necessary for self-sufficiency within her culture, which may include: sustained employment, adequate income, housing, transportation, childcare and / or medical care.

Hope Clinic For Women
Hope Clinic for Women has served Nashville for 30 years and cares for women, men and families dealing with an unplanned pregnancy, pregnancy loss or postpartum depression from a Christian perspective. On top of their pregnancy services, they offer healthy relationship counseling, medical care and STD testing.  

Nashville Rescue Mission
Following God’s command to love our neighbor as ourselves, the Nashville Rescue Mission seeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing and shelter to the homeless and recovery programs amd those enslaved in life degrading problems. Our goal is to help people know the saving grace of Jesus, and through Him, gain wisdom for living, find fulfillment in life and become a positive part of their community.

The Next Door
At The Next Door, we celebrate the transformation in the lives of women in crisis knowing God has a plan and purpose for your life that is good. With an evidence-based approach, The Next Door provides services for those impacted by addiction, mental illness, trauma and or incarceration with Christ-centered, compassionate care.

Siloam Family Health Center
Siloam Family Health Center is committed to caring for the uninsured in Middle Tennessee by providing high-quality, affordable health care for those who fall through the cracks of the health care system due to financial, cultural or language barriers.

Siloam meets the needs of the whole person—physical, emotional and spiritual. Siloam’s health care program is designed to be culturally sensitive, preserve dignity and share the love of Christ by serving those in need. In 2011, the clinic conducted more than 20,000 patient encounters. 100% of Siloam’s patients are uninsured or functionally uninsured.

United 4 Hope
United 4 Hope is a strategic initiative of the Operation Andrew Group which partners with Metro Nashville Public Schools and local churches to challenge poverty and illiteracy by tutoring struggling students and supporting teachers and administrators in the local schools. FHBC is partnered with Whitsitt Elementary School.

World Relief Nashville
World Relief’s mission and prayer is that the local Church will embrace refugees who have been forced to leave their country, culture, friends and families for safety. World Relief empowers volunteers to help meet their physical, relational and spiritual needs. FHBC partners and serves alongside refugees resettled by World Relief through our Wings Ministry.

Youth For Christ
YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement. Our youth leaders lead Campus Life at Grassland Middle School.
